The Hispanic Culture Film Festival enables movie lovers to live an "experience" during several days in St. Augustine combining, culture, dining, beaches, parties with the best Spanish movies specially selected for the 7th Art lovers.
With its magical scenery deeply rooted in Hispanic history, Saint Augustine is the perfect place for a festival celebrating Hispanic culture and films to take place. Founded in 1565 by Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, a visionary Spaniard, Saint Augustine is renown as the oldest continually inhabited European settlement in the US and has grown to become a major tourist attraction. It now has an infrastructure that is ready to welcome large numbers of visitors and make this film festival a world class nexus that will attract film makers and film lovers from all over the world. Spain, Guest Country of Honor in 2019, will bring major cultural events to the HCFF, which, along with the featured Hispanic films, will attract more than 4,000 visitors to this year’s Hispanic Culture Film Festival.
Following the paths of other great film festivals like Sundance, Telluride, Toronto, Cannes, Malaga among others, the Hispanic Culture Film Festival “experience” will include a wonderful selection of films and an awards ceremony. Besides great movies, attendees will also enjoy the warmth of a historic city with beautiful architecture, culture, music, gastronomy and sunny beaches, ensuring that visitors will return and recommend this magical, annual “experience” to others for many years to come.
